SCHOLARSHIPS

What’s the criteria for receiving a ScottCares Art scholarship?

The ScottCares Foundation Arts Scholarship is awarded once a year to college-bound high school seniors who will major in any field of the arts. In addition, students are required to have a grade point average of a 2.5 or above and have been accepted to a college or university in North Carolina. They must also submit an application packet complete with their resume, samples of their work, SAT/ACT scores, and financial needs. Chosen candidates undergo interviews before final decisions are made. The student must graduate from a high school in Forsyth, Guilford or Davie County.

What is the purpose of the annual ScottCares Foundation Scholarship & Humanitarian Awards gala?

The awards gala fulfils two purposes

1. To recognize and award scholarships to deserving college-bound high school seniors who will be majoring in the arts field. We strongly believe that the youth of today is tomorrow’s future, and that, as adults, they deserve our guidance, and support—whether financially or through mentorship.

2. We honor humanitarians who amazingly represent our 4 pillars of purpose (Arts, Education, Technology and Community Service). These individuals go above and beyond the call of duty, and have contributed greatly and tirelessly in their respective area.
