3rd Annual ScottCares Foundation
Scholarship & Humanitarian Awards Event
Committed to changing lives through the arts, the ScottCares Foundation announces their 10 student scholarship recipients, and their four esteemed community humanitarian honorees of whom will be honored at the 3rd Annual Scholarship & Humanitarian Awards event, Saturday, June 6th at 6p.m. at the Hawthorne Inn and Conference Center, Sycamore Ballroom I & II.

2009 ScottCares Foundation Scholarship Recipients:
- Melvin Aikens Jr., a senior at Winston Salem Preparatory Academy, will attend UNC-Chapel Hill in the fall with an interest in Music Vocals.
- Jared Bass, a senior at West Forsyth High School, will attend Gardner Webb University, with an interest in Video & Production.
- Laura Blankenship, a senior at RJ Reynolds High School, will attend UNC-Greensboro, to pursue her interest in the Violin.
- Marilyn Bledsoe, a senior at Glenn High School, will attend Western Carolina University with an interest in Music Education and Theater.
- Madeline Fox, a senior at Parkland IB, will attend UNC-School of the Arts with an interest in Drama.
- Cassidy McAlpine, a senior at Mount Tabor High School, will attend Western Carolina University to pursue Creative Writing.
- Edgar Mendez, a senior at North Forsyth High School, will attend UNC-Charlotte, to pursue his interest in Graphic Design.
- Jacolby Peterson, a senior at Carter G. Woodson, will attend Forsyth Tech, to pursue his interest in Animation.
- Ciara Robertson, a senior at Winston Salem Preparatory Academy, will attend North Carolina A&T University, to pursue her interest in Theater Arts.
